When repairing polycarbonate roofing, we use clear silicone adhesive to bond and seal virtually everything, even underwater or in the rain.
For rolled roofing, we remove the nails holding the damaged rolled roofing using a cat’s claw nail remover. After removing the old roofing, we replace it with a new roll on top of the damaged roof area. This is done by sliding the top part of the new roofing under the existing rolled roofing. Then, we apply tar or cement under the new rolled roofing, place it down and put nails around the new rolled roofing.
When a shingle is simply cracked or torn, we repair it by first applying a thick bead of roofing sealant below the crack. Then we press the shingle down and apply a second bead of sealant, this time on top of the crack. Lastly, we spread the sealant using a putty knife.
